"NATIONAL IMPROV CHALLENGE"
The National Improv Challenge is an exciting and dynamic experience designed to challenge dancers’ creativity, versatility, and ability to perform on the spot. Dancers will showcase their improvisational skills across a variety of dance styles and musical selections.
​
As the competition progresses, select dancers will advance through multiple rounds, each presenting new challenges, songs, props, and exciting surprises. With every round, dancers will be pushed to think quickly, embrace their individuality, and showcase what makes them unique performers.
​
The National Improv Challenge is the ultimate test of creativity, confidence, and adaptability—and an experience dancers won’t forget!
"LEGEND LEAGUE"
The LEGEND League is an exclusive, invite-only experience created for the standout performers from Regionals. This exciting opportunity offers selected dancers complimentary master classes throughout Nationals, along with the prestigious opportunity to perform in The Legendary Dance Off Finals Opening Number.

The LEGEND League members get to rehearse with our fabulous Legendary Choreographers around their scheduled competition sessions, providing a unique opportunity to train, grow and connect with exceptional dancers from across the season. Participants learn from our Choreographers while sharing the stage with some of the most outstanding performers in The LEGEND League.
"NATIONAL DANCE TEAM"
We are proud to offer even more opportunities for dancers looking to grow their technique, strengthen their performance skills, and further develop their passion for dance throughtout their Nationals experience.
Designed for dancers of all levels, the National Dance Team provides a fun and inspiring opportunity to make new friends, learn from new choreographers, and connect with dancers who share the same love for the art of dance.
Our National Dance Team will learn a special Opening Number for the Studio Showdown. Watch as your dancers take the stage for an exciting performance at Nationals!
"TITLE CHALLENGE"
LEGEND National Dance Competition is proud to present an exciting Title Challenge, created for soloists who are ready to step outside their comfort zone, showcase their versatility, and challenge themselves as performers.
​
Dancers will be evaluated across three unique components: their solo performance, an onstage interview question with our panel of judges, and a head-to-head Solo Improv Battle, where dancers will improvise individually and showcase their ability to perform under pressure.
​
This exciting challenge gives dancers the opportunity to demonstrate not only their technical and performance abilities, but also their personality, confidence, creativity, and individuality.
"THE STUDIO SHOWDOWN"
The Studio Showdown is an exciting and unforgettable night of dance where every participating studio is assigned a unique theme and invited to create a one-of-a-kind mini production featuring their entire studio—including dancers, teachers, studio owners, and parents!
Past themes have included ICONS, MOVIES, and MUSICALS, giving each studio the opportunity to get creative, think outside the box, and showcase their personality in a fun and entertaining production.
The Studio Showdown has become one of the most memorable and anticipated events of Nationals, bringing studios together for a night filled with creativity, laughter, entertainment, and unforgettable dance memories.
"THE LEGENDARY DANCE OFF FINALS"
The Legendary Dance Off Finals is the ultimate way to bring the competition to an exciting close! This highly anticipated event gives our judges the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the standout performances of Nationals.
​
Judges will invite their favorite group routines from each level back to the stage for a special re-performance, giving these dancers one more opportunity to showcase their talent and leave it all on the stage.
​
In addition, the Top 2 highest-scoring soloists from each level will be invited to compete once again in an exciting final showdown.
​
The Legendary Dance Off Finals is a celebration of talent, passion, and performance—and the perfect way to crown the unforgettable moments of Nationals!
"DANCER OF THE YEAR"
LEGEND's Dancer of the Year Award recognizes a dancer whose impact extends far beyond the competition stage. This honor celebrates an individual who embodies the heart of dance through exceptional artistry, dedication, personal growth, and the ability to inspire those around them both in the studio and in life.

Being a LEGEND is about more than trophies or high scores. It’s about the journey, the work behind the performance, and the impression a dancer leaves on their teachers, teammates, peers, and their community. More info to come.

LEGEND's Teacher of the Year Award, nominated by their Studio Owner, honors an exceptional educator and industry leader who goes above and beyond to inspire, mentor, and shape the next generation of dancers.
